2025 SPAA Student Art Competition
The San Pedro Art Association would like to thank all those who participated in 2024. You already know what this means to our kids! If you didn't take part previously, here is a chance to take advantage of this memorable artistic opportunity.
Every year we hand select pieces of student art work, pre-kindergarten to high school. Award winning artwork is professionally framed and displayed at Crafted. All accepted artwork is displayed online and some are exhibited unframed at Crafted. Each student is awarded a 150 piece art set, an award ribbon and student membership with SPAA through high school. We also give cash prizes.
Below are the rules and forms for the "2025 SPAA Harbor Wide All-Grades Student Art Competition" for distribution to the students and teachers. We have also include a contact request form for you. Please take a moment to fill this out and send it back to us. This will ensure that all of this years information gets to the correct person or persons.

More importantly we need to assure we can contact the students and their parents. Each year we have a small percentage of students that have not filled out entry forms completely. The common missing information is usually contact phone numbers and emails for the student and the parent. Being that this show is virtual again, it is imperative that we receive this vital information when accepting the art work from your students.
Deadline for submission to a school is May 1st. Work will be picked up at the school main office on May 2nd. Artwork also may be brought to the SPAA space at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles from 11:00am to 6:00pm on any Friday, Saturday or Sunday until the 4th at 6PM. Crafted is located at 112 E. 22nd St. San Pedro CA 90731. Deadline for submissions to Crafted, on line or 376 W 14th St San Pedro is May 4th.
- All artwork must be flat format and of the sizes listed on the “Rules and Information” packet.
- Accepted art given cash awards will be professionally matted and framed for exhibition.
- Media can include drawing, painting, charcoal, watercolor, mixed media, photography and any assortment of drawing materials.
- Surface should be sound (no folds/tears).
- One piece of art per student please.
- All paperwork (forms) must be properly filled out and signed for work to be accepted in the show.
- We prefer all unique and original work (submissions that are part of outside art programs can look similar and are thus very difficult to judge).
- All of the materials in this packet may be duplicated.
